Neymar Announced As the New Brand Ambassador of Blaze Casino
The international online casino Blaze.com has announced that they have partnered with NR Sports which means that the Brazilian football player Neymar Jr. teams up with the gambling brand as an ambassador for at least 4 years. The Brazilian football player will be the face of the online casino, but is not allowed to promote the casino brand in France, the country where the attacker of Paris Saint-Germain currently resides.
With the deal, Neymar will be the online casino’s “first global brand ambassador”. The athlete will promote the different gambling products of the online casino all over the world except the countries of Brazil and France. The Paris Saint-Germain attacker announced the deal on his Instagram account. The footballer enjoys more than 200 million followers on the social network.
Under the agreement with Blaze Casino, the Brazilian star has committed to different actions for the promotion and marketing of content from the bookmaker and online casino; two of the main services offered by Blaze. As revealed in the press release, among the actions, several live events will be organised on the Blaze Casino platform, in addition to monthly promotions on the PSG striker’s social networks.

Financial Success After a Dreadful World Cup
After a failed World Cup, Neymar can smile again from a financial point of view. The main sponsor of the Brazilian club Botafogo, the casino site has signed a four-year partnership with the PSG player. It is however not revealed how much money is involved in the deal. Blaze’s new ambassador role has an important limitation: Neymar is not allowed to promote the gambling company in Brazil and France. This limitation is rather remarkable considering that 97.7% of Blaze Casino’s visitors come from Brazil. According to data from SimilarWeb, there were 47.9 million visits in the month of October 2022. The rest of the visitors come from Portugal (1%), Chile (0.20%) and the United States (0.17%).

It is not the first time that Neymar has entered into a partnership with a gambling company. This new partnership makes the online casino site, Blaze, the 26th sponsor in total with which the 30-year-old striker is currently in contract. The criticised football player is also the face of PokerStars for whom he regularly participates in international poker tournaments. Another Brazilian football legend to do the same is Ronaldo Fenômeno.

Neymar not allowed to promote Blaze in France and Brazil
Other than in Brazil, Neymar will not be able to promote the casino in France which is a result of the gambling law in the European country. The gambling authority, the ANJ, only authorises 17 officially approved operators on which it is allowed to offer their services in the country of France. As Blaze Casino is not a regulated online casino in France. Currently, the operator also maintains sponsorship agreements with other Brazilians Nobru (e-sports), MC Mirella and Dynho Alves (funk singers), UFC champion Deiveson Figueiredo, former UFC and Bellator champion Cris Cyborg, among others. In any case, from the company that controls Neymar’s image rights, NR Sports, they clarified that the player will exclusively promote the bookmaker throughout the world, except in Brazil.

About Blaze Casino
The website of Blaze Casino is available for players based in New Zealand. Online gambling is not regulated by New Zealand law, neither is it prohibited. Players that live in New Zealand can sign up to online casinos that are operated outside of New Zealand. Blaze Casino is located in Cyprus, but holds a Curaçao licence. This licence is widely used to offer crypto currency on the platform. Blaze does not offer crypto as a payment method in New Zealand. Brazil’s consumer protection website Advertising Aqui ranks Blaze as the 13th worst-rated company in Brazil with user complaints ranging from blocked funds to manipulation of gambling results. We therefore do not recommend signing up to this website and opt for other casinos that hold stronger licences.
