Kick Introduces New Gambling Streams Rules to Protect Viewers
The popular streaming platform Kick has announced changes to its policy regarding gambling-related content. Streamers on Kick will now only be allowed to play at online casinos that meet specific requirements, including the requirement of casinos needing to verify the player’s age when signing up for an account.
On 27 November 2024, Kick announced via its X account that new rules would soon be implemented to ensure the safety of its community. These new rules, including those for gambling streams, aim to protect viewers on Kick from harmful content, such as illegal online gambling.

Ban On No Account Casinos
The most significant change Kick will implement from 1 February 2025 is a ban on content from no account casinos. These gambling are known for not requiring identity verification to confirm that players are 18 years or older. Additionally, Kick has entered into a new partnership with the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) to proactively manage harmful and exploitative content.
Although Kick states that the new rules are intended to better protect young viewers, there are claims that the streaming platform may have another motive. Popular streamer Cody “Xposed” Burnett responded to the announcement on X, suggesting that the new policy primarily serves to focus on the promotion of Stake.com which is the founder of the popular streaming platform.

On top of that, any streamer broadcasting other gambling websites will not get any viewers anymore whilst it won’t appear anymore on Kick’s front page or recommended section, making it harder to be discovered.”

Kick As Alternative For Twitch
In October 2022, Twitch banned gambling streams featuring illegal online casinos, including the controversial gambling platform Stake.com.
